Just now I received an email from Ms Seow. Just read the email below! Then I called to tell her that I'd submitted my LOA already and it was approved and I then sent her the approved LOA under the student portal

We all reported at Suntec Convention Centre (SCC) and had a talk and tour of the convention centre basically to introduce to us about the facilities they have at SCC. One interesting fact that I learnt was that during the IMF that was held in Singapore in 2006, the level 6 hall was divided into 2 levels.

(because the hall was 10m high and they somehow divided the thing into 2 ->5m each) after that we all waited here and there and off we went to

HAHA. AWESOME. and i told them," hey, we are all going to MY SCHOOL. " then we were all greeted by the Sugarloaf Hostess and we all went to the Lecture room on the 3rd level beside Top Table and we all had a dining etiquette lecture by Mr Tan Hsien Wei (CM of CCM)

He was SUPER FUNNY and his lecture was very interesting. LOL.

After that we had lunch at Top Table. LOL. Bow, Si Rong, Ping Chong and another one called Eugene served our table. LOL. HAHA. They were very professional and I seriously don't know what to say. HAHA. food were served. and Dessert tasted the BEST! and my friends think so too. YAY

APAC CHRIE Youth Conference DAY ONE

HEYHEY!

I attended the 7th APAC CHRIE Youth Conference organised by UNLV (University of Nevada Las Vegas). It was very fun. I'm now in the second day and tomorrow the third day, and I'm kinda sad and happy.

Sad cos TIME FLIES and Happy cos I made A LOT of friends from different parts of the world. Places like Macau, China, Philippines, Malaysia, South Korea, Japanese and not forgetting our local friends (SINGAPORE!) :D HAHA. The delegates are really nice people and the group leaders from UNLV are really nice as well.:D

Day one was rather simple, we started at UNLV (National Library Board 10th floor), greeted by their students, took temperature BLAHBLAH and got ushered into one of their rooms. at the registration counter I saw Shimin from CHINGAY and I was super shocked! HAHAHA. She came with her classmate named Raphael (its a guy and in my group). My group had a mixture of all the delegates from their respective countries.

I made a good girl friend by the name of Karen. She's from ITE College West(Clementi).

We then got on a tour with the other students around the school (only 2 floors) and at the Main Conference, I saw Mrs Choi (CM for HTM) was down there and I called her but she was talking to one of the guests so I didn't manage to talk to her.

After all the school tours and stuff, we were then ferried to SP for the Open Address with guest speakers that talked to us about Total Quality Management (TQM) and Teambuilding Games were played there. We played a total of three games and to keep it short, we played the last game which was KungFu Panda and I was the overall champion and was super funny. LOL. I represented my group as our own champion and won the overall champion after that. FUNNY (photos will do the talking for the remaining games)

After that, we had dinner and a guest speaker from Africa as well. that was the time we get to migle and talk to people from our own group. AWESOMEE PEEPOS :D

thats the end of DAY ONE. Day 2 had more and interesting and AWESOME stuff. shall post more when i have more time ;D

I finally handed in my ATTRACTS cos i'm going for youth conference from thursday to sunday and applied for LOA already.

When I was in school today, I found out that many of my friends were interested to join CYA. and both Tse Xin and WanLing said that the 关键 was ME.

whether I want to join will determine they will join CYA or not. LOL

CYA is good and you can seriously get to know and learn many things but the once-a-week-commitment is quite taxing (for me) cos I wanted to join NDP as an usher also cannot because I'm stuck with CYA for all my Saturdays

(and all trainings are on Saturdays)

BUT

If i quit CYA, I will not have any CCA for yr 3 because IG you'll be done by end sem 2.2 and my year 3 will have no more CCA :(

and CYA is like so difficult to get in

(2 interviews FYI: one by school and the other by the Airport people)

I believe 船到桥头自然直. so i guess I don't think too much.

HEADACHE eh.

although I have lots of projects to do and a lot of things to hand in, I think I'm enjoying my life at TAS, Sentosa and in LRM. haha. I was reading the TP Graduation Ceremony 2009 and I was reading the recipients' story. Most of them were from other countries and some got perfect score of GPA 4.0 and 20++ distinctions. I wonder how they study and cope with CCA and school. WOW. and its really very interesting and I'm motivated to be like them. LOL.

I want more resort trips and field trips!

this was taken after the trip at Rasa Sentosa. We were all on this Siloso Beach tram (the open-air one). My class was the one who came on time with everybody there and ready to go at anytime. HAHA. good job 2k07! :D

Most of us met at Sentosa Station at 9, leaving at 9.30. I was quite worried that we would be late, but we all saw Ms Seow's car driving in. and was kinda PHEW. I saw monkeys along the way and took photos of them. Rasa Sentosa is really a very nice place with AWESOME view. and yup, I'm motivated to work at a resort.HAHAHAHAHAH. and Ms Seow says she's gonna compliment our class during lecture for being on time.:D

Then, later in the evening, Tse Xin, Wanling, Karthik and I went to Capella Singapore, beside the Ranger station in Sentosa. I didn't really like the structure of the red thingy, but the building is very raffles kinda building, very ancient, very nice. and i'm super impressed with the rooms. HAHA. the premier rooms at Capella is much larger than Rasa.

I'll need to sign off as i'm doing my Resorts Op project which is due like next Monday.

i went to 草蜢忘我演唱会, it was really really good. i took many photos, i think got 100 over. i think i'll choose the better ones. they sang all songs in cantonese(which i don't really know most of it) but i think it was really cool to watch them sing at Indoor Stadium

i think they are still the still-surviving and still-famous boy band in the canto and mandopop industry. some pictures i took. :D

and today was a tour with Attractions Mgt Group (Rachael, Tse Xin, Wan Ling, Farah and Mei Yan) to the Asian Civilisation museum. I got to know more about Southeast Asian culture, religion and stuff and tmr we're going to peranakan museum after Fest Events.

I was very touristy today and i like it.:D

today was really good. I met up with Zhi Wei, Tse Xin and Rahman and we all went to Siloso Beach. I exchanged bags with Rahman and I think if i got extra money I will go buy Dickies.

Mr Pang shared all of his crazy teenage and army years with us during Entrpreneurship class and i think it was really crazy. Everybody was laughing like mad.

and when on my way to TP, i took train with Zhi wei and I alighted at Boon Keng to go to TP and I saw Hui Yi and the whole group of 1k04. and i wondered they saw me anot. LOL.

one thing i shared with Zhi Wei just now and on phone with Tse Xin was:

"I enjoy making my mother angry and when she's angry, I like it and I feel very happy."

ZhiWeisaid i was a bad kid.

okay, i should have uploaded this picture long ago, its like outside the school and i took this one on my first week of school and i didn't upload.

Anyway, school was rather tiring as all the classes like wth. and the whole thing ended with Acct. I think Acct is a dumb subject, but I need to do well (of course). HAHA. and attractions mgt group decided to Asian Civilisations Museum instead of the Singapore Zoo. And I actually have lots of things to do like research but i'm not doing. Ok, I'm So mean.

and i'm going to Grasshopper Concert this Saturday and i will upload with pictures and videos, if i got the time.:D

Sometimes my friends ask me, or anybody that asks me,

"What course are you in?"

and I would tell them,

" Leisure and Resort Management Temasek Poly."

if they are like not known, they'll be like,

" HUH, whats that? is it something like hotel management?"

and I'll try a lot of times explaining but its like no use like that. And i sometimes do question myself during year 1, during the times of Marketing for HT, like

" why the hell am i studying this?"

but when i promoted to year two, I said bye-bye to all business fundamentals like POM, OB, BCS(gave many very bad nightmares) and hello to Tourism Academy of Sentosa (TAS) studying subjects like

Resorts Operations and Management, Intro to Leisure and Recreation, Attractions Management, Acct for HT, Festivals and Events Management.

These subjects are SO much relevant to my course of study and I really do enjoy the subjects although they are very coursework heavy and theory heavy as well, at least it does give me an idea what do I really want in the future. And I'm enjoying all the site and field trips and it is seriously so damn cool. the recent festival i went was

SCHOOL so far has been really good. had 3 tutorials so far - Fest and Events, Attractions Mgt and Resorts Operations. and i really like the Resorts Op tutor:

Ms Maggie Seow.

And i really like one of line on lateness/punctuality,

" if you're late for 1 minute for my lecture, you can forget about coming for the lecture."

And I seriously find it really cool cos it does help and treat those who are always late for lesson.

and during her last tutorial, cos our Tutorial room(TR) doors are all glass doors, as people were walking past our class yesterday, she said," when the people outside look in, don't respond, or you'll be like fishes swimming in the fish tank. and when you turn and look outside, you'll be admitting that you are the fish. So just ignore okay?" SERIOUSLY. although she's very strict, but she really keeps everybody awake with her super lame and still-make-sense-jokes. and i do enjoy her lectures alot. :D

sentosa has been so far so good.its only the travelling distance that makes my days real bad cos you have to stand all the way to school and back when you're going home cos both are peak periods whereby people go work and go home at the period of time. morning-7 plus and evening-6plus.

and i like my current classmates and groupmates, i think they are pretty cool.

and i am very inspired to be a resorts person when i get my diploma. I'm gonna go further my studies in some top-notch university somewhere-over-the-rainbow and get a damn good degree and be able to work in resorts all over the world. i think blogger got problem and i shall continue with my aspirations.

School at TAS has been AWESOME although a bit quiet.
met up with ko4 for lunch yesterday.
and followed by LRM orientation and everything has been GREAT so far.
1Ko4 won the Best Spirited Class. I'm Very Proud of them>D although y'all didn't win Overall Champion. Y'all the Champion Class in my <3! in what i think:D

and i shall talk about the tour at Sentosa when i'm free cos i have to rush off for CYA.
and FINALLY i've just finished the financial stuff for IG(somehow).when all the money comes in, my job would be done. and i need to collect IG FUND.

And i found out one thing, Eugenia's in the same class as me.

in total people i know same class as me are: Adele, Ying, Eugenia, Chengyu, Rachael(not the IG one), and Yuki. and lecture (attractions mgt) starts at 4pm later. and i think some in the iG dreads SHUM. and i'm like influenced by them can. Mr Shum is my attractions mgt tutor. i was a bit sian but for syemun she told me she was EMOing right away when she found out that Mr Shum was her CP. LOL.

CYA training was interesting and a lot of service skills and stuff were learnt. and one thing, the budget terminal CERIS CISCO officer CMI.

i'm reading the OLE-BB for the modules needed for sem 2.1 . It seems really scary, PROJECTS are COMING BACK! dread~~

I shall prepare for school. only one lecture today. Tomorrow no school cos its all tutorials, and I shall go shop for clothes with Xinyi (she said she wanted to go with me when i asked her ytd).

and I hope everything goes well as it is supposed to be.:D

WEEK ZERO - 1k04!

hm. the week ended with week 0 orientation. its was really a BIG BANG. and yup,

BUSINESS HAS WON THE WAR!

the FIFTH time.

The freshies that i was incharge of was 1k04. At first, I was like a bit =.= cos the freshies like we all SL cheered like SIAO and then you see all of them like

"what-the-hell-are-y'all-doing-man?"

and the one of the girls and guys in my class were even folding their arms la.

then was Ice-breakers. Cos Roy (the other SL)and I did not coordinate well on ice-breakers games and both of us were not in the same Sect in SL camp then something went wrong somewhere. and as some freshies came in late and the introduction of names came on repeating over and over again. YUP. but i think everybody enjoyed. then was lunch, and LT games, and mass dance. SLs did the dance first and then followed by the teaching by the BSC. Everyone was having GREAT fun. SERIOUSLY.

and that was DAY ONE. I didn't bring my camera.(what a waste)

and DAY TWO, we got scolded by Jo-an cos we all came in late. Laptop bags by SU were given to the freshies. Good Quality Lappy bags. and then was CM briefing. IG peeps were there to give intro about IG and LRM orientation. then talk with CP and their CP was Mr Tan Teck Ming.

then after that everybody went to Sports Complex. and Darren was chosen as Class Rep, Kaiyuan-asst class rep, Christine and Ee Lynn- Treasurers, Andrew and Kamy- Social Reps.

while on the way to Sports Com, I got the guys to lead their classmates, as in to shout k04 OEI!

and yup, i got them by persuading them to cheer. YUP and they DID. I was really proud of them, they all open their hearts to everyone, and seeing them enjoying Week Zero was really GReat. All of them from strangers into becoming friends really gave me a Great Sense of Satisfaction. and i think i did a good job on making them bond well together, although some of them like Michelle-Regatta, Ameer, Kamy and Peiting-STOMP, CHristine-MASS dance.

I'm missing them already, OMG. and asked them to invite me and Roy back to TP for lunch or what, GREAT BUNCH OF KIDS. and i asked chairperson to take good care of his mates. AWESOME PEEPS. I think they'll be like 1K02(AY08/09). Like us.

but too bad i don't get to join next year cos of SIP, maybe after i graduate?

I was supposed to go running with my mom. and i didn't go and she was really very mad. i think she's running along the pathway, very lonely. okay. i'm a bad girl. my youngest brother went to his house friend to do project, and Dominic's taking his nap. so the house is kinda quiet. GOOD.

And just finished sending email to the LUGE people. and the whole cost of the Luge challenge for 125pax is really a lot of money(SGD2500).

anyway, I watched the recorded 百万大歌星 & Campus SUPERSTAR 3 (CS3) just now, and saw Yoga Lin on TV. His singing SERIOUSLY C.M.I. He was like looking on the floor and not facing the camera and OMG, the singing *slaps my forehead*. the campus superstar Champion Jarod, that Ngee Ann Boy, his singing skills are really much much better as compared to the previous one Shawn Tok *no offence*. and this time CS3 is 70% by judge and 30% by voting, and i think this is much10 better than the previous ones. Channel U should do something like that in the future. 百万大歌星 was good. The first episode on Ch U was S.H.E, and some of the parts that Hebe/Selina was supposed to sing the Min Nan Yu one was cut off. :( OHMAN. I just don't like the Mediacorp cutting the clip. SERIOUSLY.

i'm feeling hungry and i shall go running.

I have been assigned this BIG task by my YEC Chairman Steve. and this is the first time i'm chairing and incharge of such a big event.

i am supposed to do a proposal for the event for BGM (biannual General Meeting) at Sentosa Luge. and the other one headed by Xiu Xian is about Paintball. so whose proposal is better, who gets to do the job la.

oh so when i got this project, I was worrying like OMFG. but i guess with everybody's help. i'm currently going well and doing good (i guess). This morning I went to look for Mr Cassim for help and he really helped me a lot. as in format and Structure of a proposal and how could i go about doing it by making it memorable and an enjoyable experience for everyone. He said he couldn not tell me what to do cos i still need to talk to my team. but seriously, in this kinda thing, or you should say profession, lecturers really do help a lot.

after that was IG meeting, then SL tea party. Grace, KS and some other HTM people came over to LRM cos they had too many people in their diploma so the committee put them here with us.

These few weeks have been working like crazy, but I still see nice guests. part-timer complaining to HR director, I'll talk about this sometime later. I believe one should fight for their own right and not be a scaredy cat(MEOW)

i guess that's all for now and i think i need to go to sleep after sending very IMPRESSIVE emails to my LUGE TEAM. i think its very impressive

these few days had been really enriching, speaking to people from different parts of the world was really cool. HAHA.

yesterday while i was doing the Breakfast Shift, i got to talk with this couple of retirees from UK. They lived at an area around Manchester, at the top of the mountain, at the tip of it, and got really good views from their place. I heard from them that it was very cold even in summer time. And they even told me that with a very huge and thick stonewall would also make them feel very cold, although the walls surrounding them were really thick. Some things good about speaking to the guests is that you can share with them some nice places to visit in Singapore, get to know where they come from and everything about their country, the best thing is that, you don't have to do work. cos its not very nice to walk away when somebody is talking to you right?HAHA. and the others would have to stand in and do the job. but that doesn't means that I don't do my job OKAY?

you get to see cute caucasian kids whose eyes are really BLUE and GREY in colour. and talking to you like some big kids. there was this 3 year old boy with the name of Matthew, and before I got to know his name, I asked for his age. and he and his mom was like calcualting how old was his own age, and he told me," I'm SIX." instead of 3 like what his mom had said. Kid with an age of 3 which talks like a boy with an age of 6.

the day before, and there was this Datuk who was previously a Singaporean who said he had studied in St Andrew's before (So means that he was a Singaporean la). and so i asked him why did he wanted to move over to Malaysia, he said, "Better Opportunities, Cheaper Land." and his kid is a Malaysian. Before that, he also asked me this question, " why does Singapore have a lot of Chinese?" I didn't know how to answer him. =.= I told my colleague about this Datuk and she was like," so what if he is a Datuk in Malaysia? For what we know maybe the salary he earns is about the same as our dads." because of the conversion of the currency, whatever that he earns is half less than the original amount in SGD.

and at the later part of the day of yesterday, I was working the dinner shift. it was really very quiet. and there was this guest, who asked me like," is it normally very quiet on Sundays?" and i told her, because people have to go for work and study the next day, and they won't eat out. and this started the whole conversation. BLAHBLAHBLAH. I introduced this lady about the stuff in singapore. this guest comes from UK and i told her about my Marketing project and what I'm studying and everything. I was like talking the whole time. of course i can talk la. there were not many tables at that time. HAHA. so cool la. and the lady said if I were to go to London the next time, contact her and she would bring me around. HAHAHAHAHAH. coolcoolcool. and got tipped .:D yay.

i think i'll continue working at Olive Tree even when school reopens. the hourly rating although its kinda cheap labour as defined by others who said that some other hotels do pay a higher hourly rate like $7++, the experience, the adorable kids and the-talking-to-people is something money can't buy.

a 八卦 for everybody, Alan Kuo 柯有綸 lived at Intercontinental Hotel Singapore on 28.03.2009-30.03.2009. He's not very famous but his dad is famous for his stunt acts.
As I was browsing through the guests' list, I saw 'Kuo, Alan - Sony BMG Singapore' and the cashier said his breakfast was not inclusive.maybe he would call for Room Service? I don't know.

this few weeks had been really awesome although work, work and work again but means got $$$$$.

I promised to talk about the camp right, the remaining 2 days. but i'm too lazy to type it out la. and i wanted to extract from grace blog. but too bad. you can't even highlight the text in the blog can. :(

but i really made AWESOMEEE friends and even got to know them better. people like Cass, Grace, Huiwen, Sue, and manymany others.AWESOME PEEPS!!

and yup we got a KRAGA badminton outing yesterday(which was my bday) LOL. Grace, KS, Alex, Sue, Roy, Kelana, Kevin, and me of course. but it was a waste that i didn't go with them for the outing to somewhere (i don't know) for movies and dinner. but it was really fun playing the game of badminton with them. yup. . and then bused to mrt station with Sue as she needed to go home to babysit her sisters.
and THANK YOU KRAGA FOR THE BIRTHDAY SONG!!

and mrt-ed to Kallang to meet denise and brian. and went to SSC for Volunteer Leader interview and had Subway for dinner.

hey. i finally changed my blogskin. i think is a rather nice one. the quote i went to look for it myself. yesterday night i did the AYG e-learning module and quiz thingy. I took less than 1h30mins. the one which was time consuming was the personality profile test. last time OB got teach, all these personality questions all ask the same questions only that they frame the questions differently. and i promised to continue about the SL camp right? but i cannot due to time constraints. I shall do it in a few more days.

Last week was a beesy week. I Worked all the way from Monday to Friday and Saturday was AYG Training. Brian was there and I made a new friend, Denise, Brian's friend. LOL. My group got 3 from SP and 2 of them were from SPCYA and 1 was also named Priscilla. HAHA. After the AYG training, I met Dominic with Brian at City Hall. And then not many were there..:( But anyway, we had a good talk with everybody and caught up with everybody. :D and end of the day only left Siew Hwee(Huey), Brian, Kenneth Wong, Dominic and I. We all then spent talking at the Open Space at the National Library. Sunday was Policy Forum and many peeps from Chingay went and not forgetting the FREE Cable Ride. HEHEHE.

i was in KRAGA and i really enjoyed the times we all had during the camp.

On the first day, I was quite late for the camp because we were all waiting for everybody from ko2 to report for camp together. Ying2 brought her teddy and Wei Shan got a really BIG Haversack. I was looking for my name in the Camp Name List and i saw my name in KRAGA. and I also looked for any other ppl who were also in the same group as me. and i saw Cassandra's name, and I was kinda PHEW... and when i registered and found my group, the familiar faces and somehow I knew were Grace (Weiling's friend), Ebenzer, Tat Yi, Kevin and Lana(I never knew their names- i saw them at POM Lecture). I didn't see Cassandra-cos she was having Supp Paper.

so we were all playing ice breaking games and we all got to knew everybody's names-i was late and i didn't know their names. I found them really friendly and very nice.:) the videos and how the camp theme came about was all in a video made by BSC, it was really cool at the time that they were introducing the Facilitators (FA). I was really impressed with how they created the video. LOL. After that, We had a game that we all went around looking for the materials for our SECT FLAG. HOHO. and there was get-your-materials and this flag making session. and Cassandra came at this time. the guys created cheers and the girls were doing the flag.

we were we all played 4 hours of dirty games and got really really dirty and very wet. SERIOUSLY, it was VERY DIRTY. HAHA. after everything, we all ended our day at 9 plus 10. and then we didn't get very high, RAHRAH and were rather quiet although the other SECTS were really seriously very high. and during our debrief, ROY-our FA said like what you want from the camp is what you want it to be. eh. as in you want fun you have to have fun and open up to everybody.. it was really 发人深省. and we all had a bonding session with KRAGA. and we all created our own KRAGA cheers, reintroduced ourselves, shared our darkest secrets, we all talked and had FUN.

this week has been really a very busy week. with me everyday waking up at 5am in the morning, and rushing like mad to reach the working place at 7am, its seriously a CHORE to wake up so early. but no choice, since I want the $$$. TOO BAD!

just now I just got said by the ^&*%^$@#^&*#Banquet Manager, saying what, " Why are you wearing this?"( I was wearing the Olive Tree uniform instead of the Banquet one) I was like HUH?
and he added on by saying, " if you don't want to work, don't SUKA SUKA write your own name."

Seriously, WHAT THE ****ING HELL?

I didn't even write my name there and I just got scolded for nothing just like this. It was how it went: I wanted to work at the Banquet at first, and so I went to check for vacancy. It was all full, and then while flipping through, I saw a name: Priscilla. And i really wondered if that was my name la. and i asked the lady if there was another Priscilla there( cos the 'priscilla' never write surname, and its like how am I supposed to know who that 'priscilla' was. BLOODY HELL. and so i forgot about it and I got scolded for nothing la.

seriously, i'm lazy to blog.

but these few days have been really tiring BUT fun.

Especially the Chingay Appreciation dinner. it was really AWESOME! (whatever fantastic/power words that you can use la)

there were really many photos taken, and i'm lazy to upload. i shall upload a few of the better ones that was taken with HuiShan's camera. CREDITs to Hui Shan and her camera. :D

this week has been a really tiring week, and the time when I woke up on Monday was 1pm. It was to replenish all the energy for the last two days.

Work at WWW was really fun. What made me going on was the kids and the people. the work seriously ____ . Anyway, it was a bit scary when i first started, because I did not have any retail experience prior to this one here. But as when time went on, it was quite okay. and I started liking the people there - people playing there (eh, I don't mean I don't like them okay?)

Everything has been great I guess. Results would be released on 12 March, Thursday.

I want FANTASTIC results, with at least a GPA of 3.6!

I won't be working at WWW this whole week as no timing slots were assigned to me but at Olive Tree. By the way, I forgot one thing. I Spoke FRENCH!!!

What happened was:

How did I find out that the couple were French?
When i asked them if they wanted a refill of coffee, they were like,"no, you could take it away", followed with 'Merci" - which means Thank you in French.

and on the way, I was thinking how could I greet and thank them when they leave, so I thought of "Merci" and "Au Revoir" which means Thank you and Goodbye (Formal) in French.

and when they were about to leave, they said,"Thank you!" and I replied them with Merci, au revoir! and the old man was like eh? tu parle francais? and I was like okok. and the man said," Tren Bien, ... (I forgot what he said after that)" and I forgot to reply, "Oui, je parle francais un peu." OH MAN! :( yup. but it made me really happy despite that line that I had forgot to say la. ARGGGHHH. Anyway, it really spur me on to study more and study it better, so I can converse it with the French people. One of my French lecturers said that," If you can take some effort in studying French, when you speak to French people in French, they would feel really appreciated cos it would need some effort to study their language." :)

FYI-what does in RED meant:
eh? tu parle francais? - eh? you speak French?

Oui, Je parle francais un peu. - Yes, I can speak a little of French (as in not very good la)

1ko2 met up and all of us went Sentosa - Siloso Beach.

It was SERIOUSLY FUN. I really enjoyed being with them. yup. and it was really my FIRST time playing Volleyball. put on sun-tanning oil, but didn't get dark after that, it was like it still remained the same. After a game of Volley, Hilda, Ying2, Wei Shan, Menghua, Fatin and I played <3>

I went out with Saturday CYA crew with me as the only Sunday peep. It was an outing + a Farewell for Wanting. yup. We had PepperLunch as Lunch. and it was my first time having PepperLunch. it tasted good, but also quite expensive. I got a lot of First time - I meant FOOD ->Subway & Pepperlunch. and then we walked around, taking photos here and there. and two of them skipped training (CHEER and CO). OOPS. We went to watch Pink Panther 2. It was very FUNNY. just some nice photos which i would want to upload. there were more.

yesterday i met up with Vivi.
and yup i ranted that i don't have a job right?
now i DO have a job. at Wild Wild Wet (WWW). :D

in the revenue department, everything to do with $$ is my job. and it was somehow quite lucky that i got the job because I met Vivi at East Point, then we took bus 5 to Downtown East, and on the way to WWW saw this couple of jugglers/buskers/whatever. yup so we stood around and everyone was clapping. and i felt they were a bit stupid so I didn't take any photos of them.

After that, Vivi and I walked over to WWW's ticketing officer and the lady asked me to go and get a form from the security to fill up lo. and i went la. then we walked to Escape and walked back cos it was not open.

and filled up the form, interviewed. and got the JOB!! I don't want to talk about the whole process. but it was really lucky, i can work in a place that is really an attraction with retail and stuff. so i guess it would be interesting.

and we took bus 5 to Far East Plaza, and on the way out, I saw Shi Min(IG) with her friend.

the photo below was taken at Wheelock Place. with the MTM or M2M thingy. the Panda one, we thought it was cute and we both took a photo of it.

and on the way to Orchard along the Pedestrian Mall, we saw a lot of these. Vivi said these were Berlin Wall and would be taken to Bedok Reservoir for showcase. below are just of the samples. :)

and on the way to Ngee Ann City, currently I had a bit of interest in Louis Vitton's Bags and the stuff were showcased outside, just out of curiousity, we went in and took a look. The photos below were taken outside.

this is one I took inside, with my camera on, (HA, I'm sorry). but I only took 3 photos.HEHE. this is only one of it. my mom said this is a older version, as in the design of it la. but there were no price tags on all these bags. Customers were mostly Japanese and I guess the staff had to know how to speak the language and i was rather impressed with the way they spoke. SERIOUSLY! and this really made me want to brush up my foreign languages.HAHA

and i promised this line:

and i really like CHANEL, so Vivi took for me when nobody's looking although there were still people walking around.

Her heels caught our attention, if only my camera was better...

and so both of us walked from Far East all the way to Bugis, and I went to look for my dad at his restaurant, i knocked at the glass and his colleague saw me and he helped me call my dad.

Something i really want to compliment:

its that the Delifrance Restaurant ( I'm not too sure what the road is called), along the road of Singapore Arts Museum - aye its around that area.
em, anyway, i bought a 尖头面包and i asked to cut it into pieces, but the waiter he cut it into half for me, but I didn't want it in half, but PIECES. So I went back to the restaurant and asked him to help me cut into smaller pieces and the waiter(I think he's the manager/captain) asked me to have a seat and even served us a cup of ice water, so I felt that they had rather good service and didn't like mumble or what la, so I think their service was rather good.:D

i thought i liked him, actually i didn't.i seriously dont' know why.

the hotel that I was working previously is cutting labor cost, so i guess that they have stopped recruiting for a while. so if anybody got job to intro, please tell me!!!

yesterday i met up with Chingay peeps(organised by Christina), people who went were Jin Wen, Henry, Christina, Hui Shan, Sharlyn, Yu Long, Shanker, Edwin, Desmond, Jin Xian(Christina's friend) and ME.

I met them at Subway @ Kallang Leisure Park. After that we chilled out after that. Although it was rather simple, I was really glad that I went. :D

i just finished my lunch and next week is going to be STudy week. REALLY need to study.

last sunday i went my dad's ex-colleague house to have steamboat.

F&B, i think overall should be okay. cos i have a good interest in Wines, so i think i would be able to do well if i study it well. and i really disliked the food part. :D

i have to leave for some Alumni Event or what la.
and i'm in Main Comm for LRMIG-thanks to all that who had voted for me.

i think i have been quite down on luck these few days.

For the past week, or specifically last Friday, we were all preparing for Chingay'o9.

and yup, a week have passed. and seriously i missed all the fun and laughter that all our fellow mates had created. mm..

at chingay preview, I saw Joyce (GG Senior). and i managed to take photos with her. she was with the Shoe Float by NUS under Kent Ridge Hall. she was also an elf like me. but hers was a purple kind one la. like that kind in fairyland one. ours is more like that kind with Wizards and stuff like that la.

SERIOUSLY, I MISS CHINGAY'o9.

and most probably i will volunteer for the one in 2010.

i knew many friends, enjoyed performance.

yesterday was the first combined CHingay Rehearsal Training for all the local contigents.

it was so cool. but i didn't managed to take any pics of the other groups cos my costume didn't have a pocket.

LOL. it was so fun. and everyone was taking photos and videos of all of us. ohmy.that was so cool.

and we all did a lot of bonding with the other elves and our other groups. so we were cheering and boo-ing each other. LOL

and i'm looking forward to the next full dress rehearsal. YAY

it has been like one month since i blogged here. and it seems a bit dead and i'm sorry about it. due to the busy schedule that i had these past few weeks due to Chingay Trainings, school and CYA duties.

by the way, HAPPY 2009!

i haven't made any new year resolutions;; maybe to be a better person in the new year, and have a more mature thinking since i'm gonna be 18. haha. and be more and more happy each day.

next two weeks are the due dates for most of the reports.

next tuesday is the Marketing presentation

it has been such a long time that i've blogged here. hahaha
CYAs are not allowed to blog about happenings in the airport, so i can't share anything that happens in the transit. ahh..but seriously, nothing much or special happened in transit. only there is this caucasian man, he went on saying," singapore is such a clean and green city, don't you agree? and i heard that the girls in singapore are very knowlegeble."LOL

so this week i had been busy with school and work. and last saturday(finally, yes FINALLY), i went for Chingay Training. hahahahaha. there were many performers from many places, there were people mostly from NYP under their NYAA thingy. haha. and i met Zaferin friend(aishah) also. hahaha. by the way, i'm in

LOGISTICS!

our job is to provide food and drinks for people. we are the first to reach and the last to go home.

although we are at logistics right, we still get to perform!! hahahahahaha. so you'll maybe see me on TV kay. hahahah.

I'm now at the Biz Lab printing research notes for MKT. this week had been good.
i went for work yesterday and I'm aching all over maybe due to the long-time-never-work thingy thats why I'm aching all over.

school has been good so far, only that projects are starting to pile up and i hope that i can cope and to maintain the GPA i gotten so far(i know its hard, but i'll work for it.!)

as for CYA, i'm still on SUnday, working at the West Transit Counter, if you see me, wearing red vest with name of" Priscilla Foo Yu Mei" call me okay.haha

OGL interviews are here. buti heard from Cassandra that have to create CHEER FOR THE INTERVIEWER.siansiansian. i'm going with weiling and her friends for interview.

i went for CYA duty yesterday. it was so interesting.

so i was at Arrival @ T1 yesterday for duty. so the mates that went for Duty yesterday was, Lya, Kelly, Ping Chong, Kielson, Lynette and Ke En. We all went round a tour from the arrival to the transit and i was then sent back to Arrival with Ke En.

At first i was kind of nervous cos i saw the CSOs, one of them got really THICK makeup and somehow she looked kind of scary but anyway, the CSOs at the counter were very nice people.

the common questions asked were:
" how can i get to the MRT station?"
" how can i pass this document to my maid?"
"where is the DBS ATM Machine?"
" how can i get free shuttle bus to this this hotel?"
etcetera.

somehow i felt kind of happy when the passengers thanked me. got that kind of satisfaction which you normally don't get elsewhere. even money can't buy the experience lo. HAHA.

And there was this one very scary incident that happened:
There was this tall lady standing at the Info Counter and she went @#$%!$%!*&~~~(some kind of foreign language la) then the CSO went, "Sorry?" and her boyfriend went to grab her by her blouse and everyone was like kind of wondering what-the-hell that was happening la. and then the guy went to grab her to a side and they all were fighting and the guy used HIS TROLLEY LUGGAGE TO WHACK HIS GIRLFRIEND. The CSOs and I were shocked and they wanted to call the Airport Police. and somehow dunno-why the couple then went hugging each other and walked away. We were really like WHAT-THE-HELL. Its CRAZY la.

but overall a great experience. and would be looking forward for more.

just now Mediacorp went to Olive Tree to have some kind of filming for the food variety show
( the buffet one) and Ann Kok came with one lady and they talked about the prices of the buffet and stuff. they even brought in their own people to taste the food. but i can say that the Breakfast food is VERY nice, looks good but i don't like what they serve for lunch and dinner. Its all beef, lamb, etc. but it is the CAKES that makes me mouth-watering. the cakes and the tarts. DELICIOUS..

and I'm starting to work at the Banquet this coming weekend..wakakaka..
more work means MORE MONEY..

yesterday the HDB blocks at Simei Road had an hour half of black-out..

my mother and brother was watching the video and ended somewhere at 6.30 and somehow we finished the show and "POOF", the electricity went off..

I went to check the Circuit Breaker and like nothing still came back and everyone came out and looking and asking their neighbours see whether they kena-ed the black out or not. and we somehow found out that everyone all around us experienced the black out..

somehow the blackout has an advantage cos you can see people coming out of their units despite almost everyday living behind closed doors.. and when night came in everyone was seen lighting up candles and flashing their torchlights..

and i went to call the PUB after a few minutes the lights came back and people were screaming, Yay! , Goal! , WooT! , and when the cheering went a bit down somebody shouted,"SELAMAT HARI RAYA!" It was very clear and yup...hahaha

i went to changi airport for CYA orientation and it was rather interesting. made lots of friends all from HTM and i'm the only one from LRM. But it was okay.. We all had fun. there was one "airport amazing race" and we were all required to take photos of the places we went to(mostly T2 and T3. and we were also required to read this booklet and every of the must knows of the Changi Airport. OMG. so much to know lo. Everything is all in the transit area..:P siansiansian

Yesterday, i went with my dad and his colleagues at Intercontinental to Swami Home at Sembawang. Two were from Olive Tree and one was me and the onther was my asst. manager.
There was one aunty which was from housekeeping and her locker was just beside me and i didn't even see her. haha.

and so we all went to Swami home. Its an Old Folks' Nursing Home. at first we had briefing as in which old folk had what colour tag and what kind of illness they have. and it was kind of interesting.. and then we all helped to arrange the foods for the old people. it was kind of good to do volunteerism. so i'll let the pictures do the talking.:)

and so during the performance there was this malay girl who suddenly popped up from nowhere and then she sang a hokkien song..and i was like," sure not? She really Malay meh?" and like ya, SHE IS A MALAY. And after that she sang Titanic- My heart will go on.
and so when she started singing, it gave me goosebumps.:P I SO TOOK A VIDEO OF HER SINGING THE SONG. see whether is it that will give you goosebumps or not. and believe me SHE IS TWELVE(12) years old.:)

hello. it has been a week since i blogged yeah.
Last week, i went to the IG camp organised by the Business Studies Club for a two day one night camp. it was really fun and it bonded our fellow IG mates. IG MATES ARE BETTER OKAY ??

We had a lot of fun and it's sad that i didn't take any photos but i guess our IG people will post the pics ya..haha

and so for this week am currently working at The Olive Tree @ Intercontinental Hotel. I have finished working and thus slacking here in front of the computer. wakakaka. It is much much tougher than the one at the Japanese Restaurant at Pasir Ris Elias CC. You see many business travellers (like the one all taught in IntHT), Leisure Travellers, but they cater most to the business people.

and now i know why the guests at Intercontinental rated a high quality service-- its because they put their guests as their first priority( and i still need to learn a lot about it)
[ and i even told the manager that if i want to do my F&B project, i would go to Olive Tree) haha.

They serve mainly tea, the different types of coffee( Normal coffee, Latte, Cappuccino), the different types of tea(English breakfast, Earl Grey, Peppermint, Jasmine, Green Tea, and the last one I forgot). and the food is they collect themselves. so my job scope(for no) is just to brew coffee, clear tables and stuff la..

the pay is rather reasonable. better than the few jobs that i got before(all the best to those who haven't found themselves a job.)

so today my family and I went to Sim Lim Square to buy the Internet Security thingy cos the package expired. We got the Kaspersky Internet Security for 55 bucks(a very good deal). :D

and so we went walking around at Bugis area and then went to Bugis Junction's Food Junction to have food. We had some Thai food and also Katsu Don. Recently, we had been having Ice Kacang for the few times as dessert. and i also like to take photos of my brother having the dessert. XD

I went back East View with Yuxin and Vivi yesterday for TEACHERS' DAY celebration. when i was outside the school gate, I felt so cool as a graduated student to go back to east view..hahaha.

The first teacher i saw was Mr Foo. then i saw Mr Sekhar, spoke to him abit, he was having a very bad sore throat. I also went to look for Mrs Tan, she slimmed down and her kid is already 8 months( that was very fast ). Some of the other teachers i spoke to were, Mr Goh Keng Hock, Ms Santha, Ms Lee Whye Guan and i even went to look for Mr Ee. hahaha. Yuxin she wanted to look for Mr Ee and so Vivi and I went there also..and Mr Ee is still very long winded, but what he says really makes a lot of sense. And as we were not too sure what we want to talk about and so vivi went," Sorry Mr Ee, we have a very tight schedule and would like to leave now..." That was so cool, and I'm very impressed about what she have said. I couldn't have even thought about it. hahahah. and that was what she learnt at RP. LOL.

and i was also meeting Poh Ling and Xinyi at the same time. They were both waiting for me to go for lunch.

I hanged around at school for a while more and all the JC students came. I saw people from 407 like Nazreen, Juliana, Shakila, Si Qi, Wei Jie, Peilin, Jon Quek, Jeevan, Sheikh, Marvin, Ranjetha, Neroshaa, Azillah, Shazana, Matthew, Grace. Siqi came with her sis, Xue Er, YanQin, Caijuan (their clique and all)[ sorry if i missed out your names]

Most of them didn't change a lot. but Grace changed, she slimmed down and she looked more mature (like an adult) than she was in Secondary school. ^^

and i went TM with Pohling and Xinyi to have lunch at the food court and i saw Fariha at Long Johns then some TP students having lunch at food court also. Met Madel at food court. When we left the food court, we saw Grace, Peilin, Huiyi and their clique, we spoke awhile with Grace and took a bit of photos.

So, pohling, madel, xinyi and i were hanging around at TM till about 4.30pm and we all went separate ways.

And so i went for work after that and coincidently i saw my CYA senior, Calvin, a year 3 HTM student. I thought he was here for internship and he was just here working for extra money just like me. He was wearing the Service Ambassador (SA) shirt. He looked so familiar and so somehow we just talked and talked and so he was the one who was at the first CYA interview who was talking to us..

and so i'll end my post here and i'll continue updating my blog.:)

and i watched the video (and i strongly encourage you to watch this). it talks about how badly human beings treat animals, pets like cats and dogs are being put to sleep because of the over population of these animals. In Turkey, when there is an increasing population of STRAY dogs, they shoot them. there is an increase in number of stray dogs and cats because of the caretakers, they think its fun to keep a pet, but after some time, you don't want the dog, you throw it downstairs. On the video, i saw a dog being thrown in a garbage truck, it was still alive and the person just threw it into the truck.
* SERIOUSLY, WHAT HAS THE DOG DONE THAT YOU HAVE TO THROW IT AWAY???!!!*

When you eat beef, please think twice,( i didn't watch how they slaughter the cows [too bloody], but this are the first two steps that they did):
1. to use a very hot, burning thingy to put on the cow's face and you can hear the cow crying in pain
2. to use *something* to pluck off its thorns.

and milking cows are not given the freedom to move around and they are often fed with pesticides and antibiotics to increase milk production. Normal cows can live up to 20 years but for milking cows, the longest that they can live is ONLY 4(FOUR) years. when they are dead, they are then sent to the fastfood restaurants as beef.

and form the emails that your friends may have forwarded to you, you would have seen the baby seals that are being killed for FUN.

and the last part is the Circus Animals. In the video, the narrator said, "when going to the circus, rarely do stop for a moment and consider. what incides an animal to do something unnatural, even dangerous such as jumping through flames." trainers also used and made audience "believed that animals are coaxed into such behaviours with the promise of rewards.". but this is NOT TRUE. " the truth is that animals perform is because they fear PUNISHMENT". even Lions a.k.a king of the animals are also being whipped by these circus trainers. The animals are "denied normal exercise and socialisation" and " shackled in chains for 95% for their lives".

The next scene at the circus the Associate Production Manager (the name is there) said, "animals are taught with POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT* and never hit. Never hit. Never, never, never will you see anyone use the ankus as anything other than a guide or a tool"
*Positive reinforcement: Strengthens and increases desired behaviour by presentation of desirable consequence. (OB Lecture notes) it means if you behave well, you are rewarded

and the next scene you see someone using a stick to hit the elephant's leg(WTH). Very CONTRADICTING RIGHT??? Leopards are being slapped, monkeys, lions, white tigers. When the trainer teaches something then if they don't follow, they are slapped by the trainer. Another lady who slapped a lion said " NO NO NO". another man used the stick (a sharp one) to poke the elephant's leg.

and you can see that the elephant retaliates by stepping on the trainers and here and there la..

seriously, i talk so much also no use. this is what happens in other countries but i hope it doesn't happen in singapore.. oh. i don't mean that singapore does this, but as you can see our zoos and bird parks they bring in new species in to Singapore and train them. I still believe that most Singaporeans are nice people.

So, please really go take a look at the video as it is really very meaningful and its good to know more and please care more for everyone not only humans but also animals.:)

hey. i'm now at the school library. and we just had like 45 minute lesson just now(commskills). we all finished presenting our presentationa dn a few stuff about next week's oral presentation and we went off at 10. and its like OHMYGOD. so fast and like ya, it is. so i'm now slacking infront of the computer until 12(OB Lecture). i forgot my handphone and i only have 4 bucks with me and thats so 可怜。 later got 表扬典礼 at TG.

i went for the mizuno wave run 2008 last sunday.
i woke up at 4.30AM in the morning.
then i reached TP sports complex.

was incharge of the Stadium Water Point One. was with yuxin, jacq, kimberly, catherine and another girl( didn't ask what's her name)

saw Alan Wu(Wong Li Lynn's husband). he was very muscular,very big-built and quite friendly.
we approached him to take photos and he said," yeah, sure. but don't stand too near me, cos i'm quite sweaty."

having to take part in this kind of event is good cos i can get seal points, make new friends(not new la, see them almost evreyday but dunno their names). Everyone there was LRM except for yuxin(HTM).[think so]

school is fun till now, projects are going to be done very soon. tmr's OB presentation and next tuesday is the Econs presentation and handing up of work.:)

i did research for my BCS on events, weddings. then i found good pics and nice ones. i even found out that you can customize M&Ms for your wedding. named my M&M's (www.mymms.com), and also customize Dove choco wrappings(www.mydovechocolate.com). As long as you have money, you can do anything, can even customize chocolates.(wondering VanHouten and Cadbury have or not..)

Hmm.. so i went for IG meeting yesterday, kinda cool. There were many girls and a few guys, knew more of my coursemates(saw everyday, but dunno their names)[but now somehow i know]. same department as Karthik[did i spell correctly??] and celebrated

after thoughts of the skipping challenge

ya, so i went to the skipping challenge at the CC right, then for now, i'm "limping" like mad. My leg muscles are in pain. every morning i'll have to limp around in the house, getting things from here to there..

thanks sharmine for complementing on the number of jumps that i had. :)

but one sentence of 劝告，jump as much as you can, but don't force too much. but JUMP for a GOOD CAUSE la...(omg, i sound so contradicting).

anyway, the most important thing is to have fun. bring all your friends down for the skipping challenge and have FUN!!!

Changi Simei 24-hour skipping challenge

hello. its been i long time i've blogged.:)

i took part in the Changi Simei 24-hour skipping challenge. i skipped a total of 2200 times. and my brother he had 17010 skips .OMG. crazy right. i went to skip at 5 plus(pm) with 1000 skips. then went another time at 1am.(your eyes are not playing with you)with 1200.. my tag number was 163 .:) LOL

through this event, i saw many young kids aged as young as 4 to help the needy for this evern. every 10 skips, 1 bowl of rice will be given to the needy. :) thats the gd thing about it. everyone took the initiative and helped in creating the singapore record. :)

ya, so now i'm in poly(temasek poly). enjoying myself away. studying in the diploma called Leisure and Resort Management. yesterday i went with karen and guo en to watch The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep. We watched the one at 2.45pm. it was a very nice and touching show. and i went to the Intercontinental Hotel at Bugis. i went there to look for my Dad. There was an Indian man who stood at the door and he asked," yes, how can i help you?" and at first i thought he wanted to chase us out. then i asked him where was the Japanese restaurant located at, and he showed me the directions lo. ya, i was relieved. and i didn't take a photo of the restaurant.awww...

and i walked in to ask to look for my dad. at that time, he was cutting SASHIMI. LOL. should have taken a photo of him. AWWW...WASTED LA..ZZZ..

today we had the chinese new year celebrations down at Zone 3 RC. when i reached there everything looked rather strange cos for a long time i have not been participating in their activities. so i went today. but it really wasn't a very PLEASANT ONE.

MY DAD volunteered to make the sushi for the ppl. so this are some of the nice food my dad made:

can you believe it?? and the ppl still ate until very nice. hahas.

and i forced my brothers to take photos with me.

and the yusheng was like WhaT THE HELL LO.

i call it WHAT THE HELL YUSHENG.

I BET LEMONGRASS' ONE IS TEN TIMES MUCH BETTER(OR EVEN MORE) THAN THIS LO.is only that i didn't have a chance to take a photo of it.
they don't say any good words de lo. and the yusheng was a BIG BIG MESS and my mom also fell down and hurt herself .(im included).

i've left LEMONGRASS (fyi') Long Story la.but i'll miss everyone there.:) esp. jingjing, dennis, tian tao, mark, all the cooks, and even the cleaner. HAng in there PEOPLE.although i even know that they won't see my blog.ok.nvm.

hi.
i guess its time to change my blogskin.

for yesterday(at Lemongrass), everyone was scrubbing the floor, splashing water on the floor.
by the way, when i came in the morning, everyone seems happy, includin the kitchen staff, except for the bosses.BLACK FACE.

we were all clearing up for Chinese New Year cos we're not open for 3 days. We're open on the third day of CNY. and we're going aunty's(our manager) house for steamboat. i brought lots of things(mostly food)back home. hahah.and i'm happy about it.:))

then yesterday in the restaurant, we celebrated Yvonne's(manager) and Supha's(kitchen staff) birthday. both ladies' birthday fall on the same day only that Yvonne is 10 years older than Supha(if i'm not wrong)

after going to work, i felt that i've grown a lot. i can interact well and better with people(okok la). The first time I went to work at the Banquet i didn't do so well cos still unexperienced mah, but now its rather okay i guess. now at the restaurant. Many Lessons learnt and experiences Gained. thanks people.

So, i'm gonna post about my results. I got 12/16 after deducting my cca points. So, i'm heading to the tourism industry. And business also. First 3 choice i put tp. Then 4th is human resource management with psychology AT SP. It seems cool to work in the HR DEpartment.

i have to thank all the teachers who have answered all my nonsensical questions and all the time staying back with me to coach me along the way. ThANKS VERY MUCH!:)
